Measurements were not as exact as todays standards. The #4 Ministry Lot (south connection of East Street and West Street) used as focus, where boundaries align well and deeds still reference. Other lots with noticeable boundaries are #12 Joseph Benedict and #35 Benjamin’s. Also noted on deeds: Old Plantain Pond Road was referred to as the “South Cross Road”.
